One Way vs Round Trip Taxi: Which Is Cheaper?
How the two fares differ
With a one way drop taxi you are billed only for the distance from pickup to drop, subject to a 130 km minimum. With a round trip you are billed for the full journey out and back, subject to a 250 km per-day minimum, at a lower per-km rate.
A worked example
Take a 300 km trip in a Sedan. One way costs 300 ร โน15 = โน4,500 plus โน400 driver bata, about โน4,900. A same-day round trip is billed on 600 km at โน14 = โน8,400 plus โน500 bata, about โน8,900. Toll, permit and parking are extra in both cases.
When one way is cheaper
If you only need to travel in one direction, for example relocating, joining a new job or catching a flight, one way is almost always cheaper because you never pay for the return distance.
When a round trip makes sense
If you plan to return with the same driver, want to stop at several places or are travelling for more than a day, a round trip gives you a lower per-km rate and a single driver for the whole journey.
Tip
Two separate one way bookings (there and back) can cost more than a round trip. Ask us for both quotes and choose the lower one.
