Airport Taxi Tips: Reach the Airport on Time
Book in advance
Confirm your airport taxi at least a day ahead, especially for early-morning flights. Share your pickup address, flight time and number of bags.
Leave a time buffer
Airlines generally advise arriving about 2 hours before a domestic flight and 3 hours before an international flight. Add road time on top of that.
Know your airport distance
Bengaluru’s Kempegowda Airport is in Devanahalli, well north of the city, so allow extra time from the south and east of Bengaluru. Chennai Airport is in the south-west of the city near Meenambakkam and Coimbatore Airport is at Peelamedu.
Choose the right car
A Sedan suits two or three passengers with luggage. For four or more people, or extra bags, pick an SUV or Innova.
Coming from another city?
Many travellers book a one way drop from their town to the airport the previous night or early morning. See our airport taxi page for details.
