How Drop Taxi Fares Are Calculated: Per-KM, Bata & Toll

Published 2026-09-29 Β· Way Go Taxi

The four parts of a fare

Most outstation taxi bills combine the per-km charge, driver bata, toll and parking, and any state permit charges.

1. Per-km rate

The rate depends on the vehicle: a Sedan is cheaper than an Innova. Our current rates are listed on the tariff table on our home page.

2. Minimum kilometres

Short trips are billed for a minimum distance (130 km one way, 250 km per day for round trips) to cover the driver’s time and fuel.

3. Driver bata

A fixed daily allowance for the driver: β‚Ή400 for one way and β‚Ή500 per day for round trips.

4. Toll, permit and parking

These are government or third-party charges paid at actuals. Travelling to Karnataka, Kerala or Andhra Pradesh may include inter-state permit and entry charges.
